Martin Duralde affidavit, 1795 Nov. 27.

Pierre Broussard of the Attakapas District asked Duralde to make Michel Comont swear on oath regarding a 14-year-old debt for 200 piastres owed to Broussard by the late Jean Baptiste Grevenbert, a debt that his brothers refused to pay. Duralde and other witnesses went to Comont's house to question him, but he did not remember the debt and did not wish to swear on oath about it.
